I began this blog some months ago as a way to write more in depth about my life and thoughts. I used to write more on livejournal in two different accounts (included on the right). One was my normal everyday journal. The other was a journal I created to be more spiritually focused called “Empty Me”, based on the song. I’ve had my accounts there for 6 years now, since I was 17, but it’s turned into something more I use for short blurbs. I’d still like to keep the spiritual journal going however. But as for my everyday journal, I’m not really comfortable really writing there anymore. I guess I’ve outgrown it.
I have always loved writing. I’ve kept paper diaries since the age of ten. I have to say, that is something I’m happy I did. It’s neat to have that window into what my mind was thinking at such a young age, and to see how I progressed through jr. high and high school – even though it gets “ugly” in parts. (Let’s face it, when you’re truly writing for your own eyes, discretion is not the first thing on your mind.) That is just life.
Nonetheless, it’s obvious to see that I haven’t kept up here like I intended. I think the fact that I couldn’t get my journal customized the way I wanted to held me back a little. I’m pretty particular. I’m still messing around with this, I guess it’s a work in progress. But I suppose I finally found a format I can live with for now.
So here’s to actually keeping up…
